National Friendship Week

A dear friend sent me a "friend" e-mail for National Friendship Week (yes, I realize I just used one form of the word friend 3 times in the same sentence!)... Thought I should just take a quick moment and thank all of you - my dear friends - (you know who you are!) for always being there for me! Some of you will pop of an email at just the right time Some of you give a hug at just the right time Others of you send up a prayer at  just at the right time Some of you listen just at the right time Some of you open your mouth at  just the right time Others of you are just there at just the right time Each of you have a special place in my life and I am so thankful that the Lord has placed each of you in my lives... at this very moment, for a very special purpose! So whether its a hug, a prayer, a smile, a hand... know you all have a special place in my life! ~Keep on Keeping On~

He is Lord of All

For those of you who don't know - I have joined the Hosanna Choir again! It has been an evening that I look forward to where I can go and fellowship with sweet ladies and worship the Lord. This is one of the songs that we are working on right now. It has been a blessing to me and just wanted to share it with you all! He is Lord of All J.Paul Williams & Benjamin Harlan Oh who has known the mind of God, and who has been His counselor? His ways are sure, His love is pure, and His thoughts are above our thoughts. He speaks and it is done. Oh, there is none like Him. He is above all things, and everything has come from Him. Creation bows and worships Him, He who calls every star by name. He calls each star by name. Oh there is none like Him Do you not know? Have you not heard? He is the everlasting God. His Word will stand forevermore. He is Alpha and Omega, He is Lord of all. Oh, there is none like Him.

(Parts of) Family Day

Family Day was different this year then others - it had become an annual tradition to go hiking, however due to some conflicting plans it didn't work out this year! Some went here, others there, yet we were all together for dinner!  I took Faith and the two youngest boys swimming - there was hardly anyone there, the boys so enjoyed it!  Game time  Music Time  Grandma wanted help cutting out her runner...  At 10pm I got inspired to do a cake - I had a gracious helper:) My Dad's project for the day! It's so nice - getting all these projects done around here!

McLennan Park - A.K.A. Mt. Trashmore

I felt like I hadn't spent much time with my sibling this week - it was a crazy busy week, but I wanted to show them they are indeed special! I was able to get off work early today so I quickly picked up some groceries and called home to tell the kids to get ready cause I had a surprise for them, I blind-folded them and got them to try and guess where we were going... I think they enjoyed it Such a beautiful evening - cold, but SO pretty with the bright sun, blue-blue sky, and white crisp snow! finally at the top - truly a work-out  oops - someone took a dump  a smaller hill Everyone was hungry and cold when we got home - had some supper then I made hot-chocolate and popcorn and they cuddled up on the couch for a movie... Learning the importance of investing in the lives of those around me... I'm a slow learner at times, but with His grace one day I'll get it I hope!

Valentines Day

My lunch bag and dessert! Thanks for making it extra special Liz! Such a sweet brother hey - a dozen roses! Thank you bunches Daniel! The sweet treat table  Chocolate dipped strawberries (can't you taste it?)! A few days ago I asked the younger boys what they wanted for Valentines Dinner, because I wanted to do something special for them as my parents were gone! "Pizza" they said "Delissio Pizza"... wow! Faith ended up making delicious Nachos - so thankful when they pitch in, especially when I get home late from work. Micah had been asking me for some time if we could PLEASE decorate more cookies - so I promised him on Valentines we would. I invited quite a few younger girls over... however because of the weather only a few were able to come, was a fun evening.  Daniel trying to explain to me what he's done on his cookie.  Hard at work  note: Micah and Jonathan wanted a temporary beard, so used black face paint...
