Wait

Wait Russell Kelfer Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried; Quietly, patiently, longingly, God replied. I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate... And the Master so gently said, "wait." "Wait? You say wait?" My indignant reply. "Lord I need answers, I need to know why! IS your hand shortened? Or have you not heard? By faith I have asked, and I'm claiming your Word." "My future and all to which I relate Hangs in the balance, and you tell me to wait? I'm needing a 'yes', a go-ahead sign, Or even a 'no' to which I can resign. "You promised, dear Lord, that if we believe, We need but to ask, and we shall receive. And Lord I've been asking, and this is my cry: I'm weary of asking! I need a reply." Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate, As my Master replied again, "Wait" So I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut, And grumbled to God, "So I'm waiting for what?" He

On the road

I agreed to take Faith down to the Bible School to spend a little extra time with Jenelle and Aaron before conference. Was good to spend some time with her, becoming less and less as life moves on. Factory Outlets in Niagara Falls Finally made it back to Panera Bread - a long story, but the food was good:) We surprised Aaron - was so nice to spend a few hours with both Aaron and Jenelle before returning the next morning! P.S. - let the crazy week begin!

Spring Cleanup

Spring clean up is here -- and so is Aaron!! It's been super good to have Jenelle and him back from school, for a time at least! With the big wind/ice/snow/rain storm that hit the area this past week... we had a few branches and tress that were knocked down. Lots of raking but lots of hands! Plus it was a beautiful day...

The End of a Season

100 taps a couple weeks = 100 liters of sweet gold - Maple Syrup Most of the credit goes to James who spent many hours boiling in the `sugar shack`.   Micah and Jonathan helped me pull all the spiels and plug all the trees  Another season complete... next one around the corner!  What does it hold? Time will tell!

Voice of Truth

There are many voices in the world today, but it's so important out of all the  other voices calling out to us to choose to listen and obey the Voice of Truth. If we CHOOSE to respond with meekness and humility to situations around us and keep close to our Father - Nothing will be able to get between His Will, His Way, but it will always be His Time... so till His will is accomplished in our lives don`t let other voices distract and take our focus off of the voice of truth! Voice of Truth Mark Hall and Steven Curtis Chapman Oh what I would do to have The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in Onto the crashing waves To step out of my comfort zone To the realm of the unknown Where Jesus is And He's holding out His hand But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed The waves keep on telling me Time and time again - "You'll never win!" "You'll n

Family Shoot 2012

Toman Family 2012 Winter Wonderland Finally we were able to get everyone together for a few family shots - it was getting dark, but our amazing photographer, a dear friend -  Liz Heikoop  did an great job at capturing the light that was left!  I had to include this one - we were to keep our noses covered so we wouldn't all look like Rudolf - I mentioned something about "That's just cause Liz wants to take lots of pics with our noses covered"... at which point Liz captured this one! A moment you had to be there for I suppose! So much in love and falling more and more each day - how I want to be after 30yrs of marriage  What an incredibly beautiful lady - mom you are truly an amazing lady, so inspirational, so talented, so lovely, so full of gentleness, a women of prayer, and an incredible example! In Praise Uniting

Once again I was privileged to be able to join with the Hosanna Choir & Mattaniah Male Choir to sing at the Hamilton Place. Although it was hard to hear everything from where I was sitting (other then the organ:)) in the choir I was incredibly blessed and would have to say that this was one of the best concerts (of the Hosanna Choir) I'd ever been to. Such a great time to focus on the Lord and His goodness, to reflect on His faithfulness and know that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! "God and God Alone" To everyone that was there - I felt bad not being able to get around to you all to say hi... and some of you I didn't see!
