Soprano & Bass

As being the maid-of-honor I felt that it was an obligation to put on a shower for the bride-to-be. However I didn't want it just to be "another shower". For one, she's already had quite a few, and for another - they didn't need more stuff! I thought it would be fun just to get together some friends that go way back and have a fun evening of catching up!
There were some people who really caught my vision for this evening and helped from beginning to end!
The time seemed to catch up on me... and so two weeks before the event - people received their invitations. It was such a surprise as to how many people were able to make it out - so thankful!
Some Prep-Work Photos
 From Plywood to Ivories:)
Wanted to create a photo booth - however never actually got it set up properly - ran out of time:) Was nice decor!
My brothers helping me with the eggs - you'll see later on
 The streamer drapes
Mark offered to let us borrow his tent - which totally saved the evening - made it much more comfortable to everyone and people stayed a lot longer - which was a blessing!
Not only did he let us borrow the tent - he came for the whole day and helped do all the set up - and much much more! So blessed!
We had to test out our course we made... I liked it:)
Let the Party Begin

Black and White - Music Theme
Was so happy with the way this sign turned out!
Activity Stations
Chris set his own record of holding the case of 24 in his hands
Then we had people try and beat him - His record 3minutes 16seconds!

Croquet - a fun traditional game for a group
This was a big hit - How many hammers does it take for you to drive the nail fully into the stump
As the host I was to welcome everyone and give an overview of the evening - however I don't do public speaking very well - was giving my dad an overview to pass on!
The happy couple who everyone came to see and celebrate:) Only 52 days more to go guys!
 Some beautiful helpers
My great-uncle came and approved my French Macarons - was all I was looking for!

Two very special, influential people in my life! Sharing a laugh together!

The yummies table! Had so many people help out with this aspect as well - never could have done it as quickly without all their help!

Lets Play

Love this picture of these beautiful ladies
C'mon Jenelle - you can beat Chris

Some of the best egg cracks
As the night grew dark - the warmth and light of the tent welcomed all the guests - we were all able to visit and catch up - the tent was a lifesaver! We had music playing in the backround, which added a really nice touch (not actually my idea). There was a chance of rain that evening, but it didn't start till 5 min after the last person left, then it poured! Thank you Jesus!

A huge thank you to my family, HannahD. (a bridemaid), and Mark for giving of your whole day and working so hard to help pull this event together! Thanks for catching my vision and putting up with me!
Was great to have you all on my team for the day - we should do more events like these together:)

New Postings Coming

Dear Followers, I apologize for not writing on the happenings in the last few months! Many new opportunities, many ups and downs, but through it all - there is so much to learn, and hopefully in the process He's making us into stronger people, becoming more and more like Him! December was filled with lots of different Christmas happenings, get together's, music opportunities, visitations, baking, eating of yummy food, and spending time with family!  I maybe took 3 or 4 pictures - not much to show, but will be bringing more pictures of the upcoming months!  New Years - I was sick again, so I was home alone, while everyone went else where to ring in the New Year! A good time to reflect on the happenings, excitement, disappointments, blessings, and most of all His faithfulness! A lot to remember, be thankful for, but 2013 is past, and although it brought much joy and some of the happiest most fulfilled moments, times - this is 2014 and I'm excited to see what He w

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to me can I turn

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm!
