Baptiste Lake- 2013

Once again this summer we were blessed to be able to spend a week up on Baptiste Lake. Chris was able to come up for the first part of the week and Mark the end - so thankful that both special guys were able to be a part of it this summer:)
Didn't get a lot of good pictures this summer, but here you can see the two cottages we stayed in!
 The beautiful lake
At the locks we learned "Everyone wants everything for free" - hey Aaron:)
When we got there we realized we didn't know the code for the cottage and the rental place was already closed down for the night or so we though - it wasn't technically a break in  - we just had to go through the window
Generally every summer we find our way to Eagles Nest - always such a lovely spot to lookout!

Making my mark in the wood:)
 The love-birds

 Have some interesting poses
You can kind of see the look-out from this picture - the scenery up there is beautiful!
Went hiking there later on in the week - camera ran out of battery, but got a couple on my phone
Such a nice place for hiking too - through a swamp - the forest was SO green!
It has become an annual swim - across the lake! Only made it once this year though:(
 boating
 twins - only 30yrs apart
The dam is another place we end up going to - the water was down a lot this year so we were able to walk around a little more

Fun having Aaron as a partner
 Water sports...Chris did amazing
Then Mark came up - SO thankful it worked out for him to come up - was SO good to have him there!
Mr. Good Lookin'
Daniel almost had the wake jumped - he did so well
 the ham on ski's
Coming over to spray me!
Couch time - likely something wedding related:)
 Faith working on a puzzle
Two beautiful ladies - I'm so blessed to call sisters!
Campfire before dark:) It was a hot-dog roast I think
 Makes me smile
We were able to bring up our keyboard this time - so thankful we did! It was definitely a blessing

My dear mother and I out on the canoe:)
Mikes n' I - they are all growing up so fast, learning to treasure every moment I get with them!
This morning was definitely a highlight for me! Dad, Jenelle, Mark and I went over to the dam one morning real early to see the sunrise (didn't really see it, but that's besides the point).
"The Morning Light"
Just a really special time
The trip home was really nice as well - we stopped a few times - once for ice-cream and a walk and once for supper!
So blessed to call this group of people my family! Thankful for the upbringing the Lord has allowed me to have and looking forward with much anticipation for what He has for all of us in the future as we trust Him with our lives!

Many new opportunities, many ups and downs, but through it all - there is so much to learn, and hopefully in the process He's making us into stronger people, becoming more and more like Him! December was filled with lots of different Christmas happenings, get together's, music opportunities, visitations, baking, eating of yummy food, and spending time with family!  I maybe took 3 or 4 pictures - not much to show, but will be bringing more pictures of the upcoming months!  New Years - I was sick again, so I was home alone, while everyone went else where to ring in the New Year! A good time to reflect on the happenings, excitement, disappointments, blessings, and most of all His faithfulness! A lot to remember, be thankful for, but 2013 is past, and although it brought much joy and some of the happiest most fulfilled moments, times - this is 2014 and I'm excited to see what He w

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to me can I turn
