Mother's Day (Update)

As some of you know this has become an annual occurrence; where I update my moms "children" wall with all of us as we change from year to year! Some of them have an extra person added this year:) Love our ever expanding family!
 Jonathan - Gr. 8 (11)
The baby of the family but growing into quite the gentleman! Love his genuine tenderness towards the Lord and everyone around him! A very detailed oriented with a big servants heart!
Excelling in his school and music and enjoys doing anything with his big brothers and sisters!
Future ambitions: horse jumping and football
Micah - Gr. 8 (13)
Our caring, dramatic, who loves to make sure all his outfits are the latest and best!
He can't wait for hockey season to begin - not sure whether it's because he loves the game or because this means he can grow his hair out!
Give him his sax and he'll blow you away with his incredible talent - Jazzing up life!
Future Ambitions: Saving up for flight to South Africa
James - Grade 11
This guy is one of the hardest working men I know! Works landscaping job all summer as well as different barns milking! He gets up at 4am and doesn't normally stop till late into the night: As well as working on his schooling now. He's got a full plate, but he's got drive!
Super proud of him and the life decisions he is making! Can't wait to see what's in store!
Faith - RPN Conestoga College (freshman)
So incredibly proud of this girl! Her determination and many hours of hard study and work have landed her here in the RPN program! She is going to be one incredible nurse! She was able to help out at a camp this past summer, which she thoroughly enjoyed as she saw different ways God was able to use her!
Rachel & Daniel
Daniel was the Assistant Camp Director with CEF in Paris, ON this past summer and started his Business Admin and marketing program at Conestoga!
Rachel was the Youth director at the same camp and will be going to CMI in Missouri for her diploma in Children's Ministry

Rachel (me)
I have been so thankful for the Lord's strength and grace over this past year. Many small changes, but have greatly effected every day!
I am continuing to care for my 5 adorable children - love learning with them and seeing them grow into such beautiful kids! Also very involved in my church, which is definitely a season I am loving. Makes for some super late nights as I make the trip to and from Brantford pretty  much every night!

Aaron & Hannah
First year of marriage complete!
This couple has been living in an apartment in Kitchener, ON and very involved in their church as well. Aaron continues to work with Dad at Toman Electric and Plumbing. Hannah continues to teach music and is a secretary at Renew ability!

Missing a picture of Chris & Jenelle
They are still working on getting one "good enough" to add to my collection!
Having them oversees makes it more of a challenge to get pictures and share life moments with, but we are really thankful for how the Lord is using them over there! Can't wait to see them again, here or there, can't be soon enough!

New Postings Coming

Dear Followers, I apologize for not writing on the happenings in the last few months! Many new opportunities, many ups and downs, but through it all - there is so much to learn, and hopefully in the process He's making us into stronger people, becoming more and more like Him! December was filled with lots of different Christmas happenings, get together's, music opportunities, visitations, baking, eating of yummy food, and spending time with family!  I maybe took 3 or 4 pictures - not much to show, but will be bringing more pictures of the upcoming months!  New Years - I was sick again, so I was home alone, while everyone went else where to ring in the New Year! A good time to reflect on the happenings, excitement, disappointments, blessings, and most of all His faithfulness! A lot to remember, be thankful for, but 2013 is past, and although it brought much joy and some of the happiest most fulfilled moments, times - this is 2014 and I'm excited to see what He w

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to me can I turn
