A New Chapter

 My dear Grandmother turned 80 on the 24th of May - and what a trooper she still is! We took her down to Niagara Falls, NY to do some shopping - yes I know you can do shopping right here 10min down the road, but this trip was something super special that meant a lot to her! We got her this outfit (with a white skirt:)) she was thrilled! We got in on the Memorial Day sales - found some really good deals:) She's such an energy giver - always smiling, ready to laugh! Love her so much and thankful the Lord has given her all these years!  We all went to Crossroads, Elmira for dinner on Saturday night - was really nice and a great way to celebrate the 80yrs of her life! Praying for many more for you Grandma!

My dear sister and her fiance wanted a few engagement pictures by the apple blossoms... here are just some of the ones they gave me permission to share with all of you! I really like this picture of Jenelle - stunningly beautiful! I asked him to pick a blossom and give it to Jenelle... he got down on his knee on his own! The ring, their hands, purple, blossoms... One of Jenelle's favorite pictures! The ring! My favorite picture... am I allowed to say that? The camera I was using wasn't the best, but I was so happy to get this one! Not really your typical pose... and no this wasn't supposed to be a pose, but I wanted to share this one with you -- love the energy in this picture:) Side note: somehow all these pictures got deleted of the card I was using, but I was so thankful to have a program to be able to recover them! Daniel had some friends down from Michigan... was a super nice evening so we all decided to go for a hike - Apps Mills is so pretty this time of year!  The younger ones found their way down to the river every chance they got - to skip a stone or two!  Lindsey & Clarke  Jonathan and Nick with his mustache!  Love this picture! It seemed to come unexpectedly this year - Daniels birthday - There was just a lot going on and all of the sudden it was here! I returned from the grocery store with 2 hours to make the meal and decorate the cake! Lots of time - right?  Beginning it  Taking longer then I had - what a wonderful sister! She did amazing by the way!  The plan was a quick supper...  A six foot long banana split - I wanted to do this for Daniel - He's such an ice-cream fanatic!  Blowing out the candles  The inside of the cake - colors to match the color scheme!  Finishing out the trough!  Took some pics of Faith in the apple tree - so beautiful!  ...quick supper then mini putting... thankfully we called to see what the hours were and found out they weren't open for the year yet - so we used our "soccer field"  Was quite the game! Kick, shoot, score! So Happy Birthday Daniel - my favorite 18 year old younge...

The boys were all down in "Lego City" and after explaining that it was a beautiful day and it would be nice for them to get some fresh air... I found they moved Lego city onto the sidewalk! They just couldn't get away from their Lego:) James is getting a hair-cut today... Such a beautiful day -- was able to do some studying outside... Hope you're all able to enjoy the sunshine in one way or another today!

I needed to deliver a cake in the Dundas area this past weekend and it's always easier to have two people in the vehicle - I've found anyways if travelling with a three tiered cake for more then 10 minutes down the road! Anyways Daniel offered to come with me and I mentioned something about going to Webster's Falls - we used to go all the time as small children, but haven't been in awhile! Well... we got there!  However, first he wanted to stop at Starbucks for 1/2 priced Frappuccinos!  We hiked for a bit up stream - was absolutely beautiful! Perfect weather for hiking! Daniel wanted to put a flower in my hair! Trying some different things -- he takes good pictures anyways!
