A New Chapter

My dear brother Micah asked me what design I wanted for my cake - when I showed him a sketch I had done he literally went right to it! It was so cute! I was doing some paper work at my desk and I would hear him mumble under his breath as he was baking!  He would make little comments about all the work and length of time it took just to bake off a few cakes! Makes him appreciate more baking and cooking now!  Working on the design together!  He did an incredible job Et voila - the final product - He was so proud of it and I was so proud of him! He stuck at it right to the end - did the red rose all by himself and made suggestions about the design all the way through - this guy has a good eye! Was special to work on it with him!

Canada Day - July 1st - calling for thundershowers, but blessed with beautiful weather! So thankful for all the help at setting up everything - many hands make light work! Let the party begin The Welcome Wagon  The photo booth - lots of great photo's taken here!  The plank race  Corn Hole  Ping-Pong Precision  Three-legged Race  Mega Jenga  The Haywagon Ride - Thanks Mr. McNabb for being so generous with your time and equipment! Lots of adorable kids - so great to see so many out, but hard on my heart!  Love these girls so very much!  Lots of canoeing, swimming, splashing    A great couple, love them so much Fireworks to conclude the evening! So thankful for everyone that was able to come out - over 150 people! So many people that I wasn't even able to say hi to everyone So blessed to re-connect with old friends and make some new connections!

I want to publicly thank this amazing guy for everything he did for Chris and Jenelle's big day!  He was always there... kept a smile on my face during the stressful times, and helped me see the beauty in something, even when it didn't turn out as planned:) Thanks for helping out in so many different ways - cannot even begin to write out everything you did! You were a huge blessing. Thanks Mark!

Jenelle and Chris wanted to take Mark and I out - and well, with the wedding coming up and 4 different peoples schedules to work out... it was difficult to get a time that it suited everyone! It finally worked and it was such a wonderful time!  Chris took us to his newly found favorite restaurant in Cambridge - ''Brilliant Kitchen''. It`s a Sushi restaurant, first time experience for Mark and I, but we both enjoyed it immensely! It`s everything you can eat - super good food, went early so it wasn't too busy, and the company - couldn't ask for better!  So thankful for the time we could spend just the four of us - special! Then it was off to the CN Tower! Mark and Chris had never been up, so we figured the present is a time like no other! Was fun - good chats all together and even though Mark and I lapped around the CN more - we did get along well, right Chris! Chris and Jenelle - the soon to be married couple:) There was a 3D film on and a simulato...

Once again this summer we were blessed to be able to spend a week up on Baptiste Lake. Chris was able to come up for the first part of the week and Mark the end - so thankful that both special guys were able to be a part of it this summer:)  Didn't get a lot of good pictures this summer, but here you can see the two cottages we stayed in!  The beautiful lake  At the locks we learned "Everyone wants everything for free" - hey Aaron:)  When we got there we realized we didn't know the code for the cottage and the rental place was already closed down for the night or so we though - it wasn't technically a break in  - we just had to go through the window  Generally every summer we find our way to Eagles Nest - always such a lovely spot to lookout!  Making my mark in the wood:)  The love-birds  Have some interesting poses You can kind of see the look-out from this picture - the scenery up there is beaut...
