Mt. Pleasant Biking Trail

I hadn't spent too much time with my younger siblings in awhile - wanted to do something fun with them. Original plan was to go canoeing, but the weather didn't look too promising so Mark and I decided that a bike ride might be a better option! Mark getting the bikes all fixed up - handy man:) Tried to get a picture of the group, but Manny decided to get in front... Some of the group - was thankful Mark came along - really helped keep everyone together and led the group much better than I ever would have been able to! It's just easier to keep 7 kids with another adult... plus it was nice to be able to spend the time with him!  Stopped for a picnic and got a birds eye view such a great shot! Was a great day and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves - we went back to the Windmill and they had a great time playing hide and seek!  Then it was rush home for me for a dress fitting then off to look after my cousins little girls! Will be spendin...

Physical Exercise

One of the beautiful evenings last week I took the younger ones biking down the Grand River Trail - so beautiful - looking forward to many more bikes down this trail!  never a dull moment

Riverview Bible Camp

The church had their annual Family Camp weekend - wasn't able to get too many pictures, but thought I'd post the ones I did get! It was a bit different this year, a lot more relaxed. A time of fellowship and rest! Saturday afternoon a bunch of us went down the river - Dad and Mr. Weber in the front with the chain saw clearing a path... so many trees had fallen across the river, making it difficult to pass! Daniel shared Sunday morning on Courage - did an excellent job!  Chris &  Jenelle - being just a tad goofy:)  I was responsible for the children Saturday morning... played some games with them - it was super hot, thankful for some of the water games!  Apple Bobbing - they all loved this! Most of them had never bobbed for apples before, was quite interesting especially with the super young ones, fun to watch!  Mr. Weber, Mr. Hamilton, and Dad went berry picking for fresh strawberries - Mom and Mrs. Weber topped them! Yummy Strawberry Sh...

Summer Fun

Lydia Heikoop came and spent a few days here...  she was so good with the younger boys, played lots with them outside! She was also such a blessing to me - I had been wanting to do a major organization in my room she gave me the motivation to dive in deep! Feels so good to have it done!

6 Boys - 2 days

Brought three of Henry + Heathers boys home Saturday night and they were able to spend a few days here with our boys! Was nice for all of them I think! Any motorized vehicle they could find, they drove... basically:) Hendrick and Jonathan spent the morning fishing... So I filleted the five fish and they had fresh trout for lunch! They said it was yummy! They slept in the tent all three nights - even though two of those nights it down poured! It was a spur of the moment "Rach, can we come to your house" so they didn't have any of their clothes, however Jonathan and Micah had tons to go around - or so we thought! They spent so much time outside in the mud... so many changes of clothes... so good to have the boys here though!  It's not often that our younger boys get the opportunity to play with children their own age, think they all enjoyed it! Hope they don't all get extreme colds now though!  Took the boys back and was able to do some good g...
