Double Date

Jenelle and Chris wanted to take Mark and I out - and well, with the wedding coming up and 4 different peoples schedules to work out... it was difficult to get a time that it suited everyone! It finally worked and it was such a wonderful time!
Chris took us to his newly found favorite restaurant in Cambridge - ''Brilliant Kitchen''. It`s a Sushi restaurant, first time experience for Mark and I, but we both enjoyed it immensely! It`s everything you can eat - super good food, went early so it wasn't too busy, and the company - couldn't ask for better!
So thankful for the time we could spend just the four of us - special!
Then it was off to the CN Tower! Mark and Chris had never been up, so we figured the present is a time like no other! Was fun - good chats all together and even though Mark and I lapped around the CN more - we did get along well, right Chris!
Chris and Jenelle - the soon to be married couple:)
There was a 3D film on and a simulator ride that was included in our ticket up...
so we stuck around for that! The 3D film was very informative and interesting, the simulator ride, not the biggest thrill:)
Was such a great time all together... we haven`t had too many opportunities like this, but looking forward to more in the future
Thankful for each of their friendships and how they all mean so much to me! So thankful the Lord has placed each of them into my life at this time... appreciate you three very much!

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to ...

Christmas Preparations & Finishing up Second Semester

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm! This year Ben helped James and I - a great night filled with music, laughter, and cookies (thanks Jo-Jo)  "Festival of Lights" - OWEN SOUND  It was a very wet/rainy night, but it was PERFECT! Ben and I had so much fun walking around Owen Sound talking, laughing, and experiencing the beginning of many new Christmas things together! The firework display was incredible, just in case anyone is thinking of checking it out next year - GO!!! They also did a great job at displaying many different set ups of Christmas lights!  Oh, and what better ...

South Africa 2016

This is a super overdue post and I struggled to find the pictures I wanted to add, but here is what I came up with...ENJOY! I surprised my younger brother by purchasing an airline ticket months in advance, but waited to tell him he was coming with me till a week or so before. He had been talking about wanting to travel with me to South Africa, and I was so glad that it worked out! You're never too young to experience these things in life! James (and clan) dropped us off at the airport - So appreciated this, as parking and flying wasn't the most ideal for a four week trip. I booked our layover for Switzerland as I had a friend I wanted to visit, as well as Switzerland had been on my bucket list of places to explore! My friend picked us up from the airport and brought us back to her place for breakfast and a quick shower! She had the whole day planned out so well. We visited the Carma Chocolate Academy  which is where they make and produce the chocolate for all...
