Daniel's 18th

It seemed to come unexpectedly this year - Daniels birthday - There was just a lot going on and all of the sudden it was here! I returned from the grocery store with 2 hours to make the meal and decorate the cake! Lots of time - right?

 Taking longer then I had - what a wonderful sister! She did amazing by the way!
 The plan was a quick supper...

 A six foot long banana split - I wanted to do this for Daniel - He's such an ice-cream fanatic!

 Took some pics of Faith in the apple tree - so beautiful!
 ...quick supper then mini putting... thankfully we called to see what the hours were and found out they weren't open for the year yet - so we used our "soccer field"

So Happy Birthday Daniel - my favorite 18 year old younger brother! It has been fun watching you grow up, and I am so encouraged as I not only watch you "grow up", but to see you grow in the Lord and
seek Him for all He has for you! Keep seeking Him - Seek Him first and all the other things that concern you will be added to you!
May the next year be amazing and may you discover more of His plan for your life!

Christmas Preparations & Finishing up Second Semester

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm! This year Ben helped James and I - a great night filled with music, laughter, and cookies (thanks Jo-Jo)  "Festival of Lights" - OWEN SOUND  It was a very wet/rainy night, but it was PERFECT! Ben and I had so much fun walking around Owen Sound talking, laughing, and experiencing the beginning of many new Christmas things together! The firework display was incredible, just in case anyone is thinking of checking it out next year - GO!!! (Parts of) Family Day

Family Day was different this year then others - it had become an annual tradition to go hiking, however due to some conflicting plans it didn't work out this year! Some went here, others there, yet we were all together for dinner!  I took Faith and the two youngest boys swimming - there was hardly anyone there, the boys so enjoyed it!  Game time  Music Time  Grandma wanted help cutting out her runner...  At 10pm I got inspired to do a cake - I had a gracious helper:) My Dad's project for the day! It's so nice - getting all these projects done around here!

2017 Re-Cap

2017 was an incredible year filled with MANY changes and experiences I never imagined would befall this little country 'gal. January - Started off with by returning to school (full-time) . In pursuit of me following my life long dream of becoming a Paramedic I needed to take Biology, Chemistry, and Math credits as it had been 6+ years since I last took any of the sciences. The Pre-Health  program at Conestoga seemed to be the best option, as I wanted to get my accreditation for  Paramedicine   at Conestoga College. Returning to school was quite the adjustment as I had not been in full time school for 6+ years, but it quickly grew on me as I got to know my colleagues and schedule. It took me awhile to re-teach myself how to study... it's different as an adult! February - Within the first week I found out that as a mature student, using my grades from the "Pre-Health" program (instead of my highschool transcript) they would NOT even look at my application for Param...
