Ringing in New Year...

We were so blessed to be able to go up to Sauble Beach for a couple days to "ring" in the New Year - 2013. Friends of ours so graciously lent their cottage to us... it was so cozy!


 The first evening no one was really tired and so we all sat up chatting together and trying to guess what the future held for each one of us! Although it's fun to guess and speculate, it's such a great assurance to know the One who knows our every tomorrow and has a future planned for us! He has a plan!

: Monday we went hiking to see the Wiarton, Bruce Caves... and an attempt at the Bluffs:)


 Jonathan and Micah seemed to love finding these sharp slopes! It didn't matter if they were roots, rocks, or roots and rocks! They loved the slide:)

So thankful for beautiful weather and time spent with family - never should take for granted the moments I get to spend with them!

Happy 2013 to all! Trusting the Lord to guide your every step and give you guidance for the days ahead! For I know the plans that I have for you - says the Lord - plans to give you a hope and a future!
Looking forward with anticipation to what the Lord has for us all in 2013!!

Christmas Preparations & Finishing up Second Semester

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm! This year Ben helped James and I - a great night filled with music, laughter, and cookies (thanks Jo-Jo)  "Festival of Lights" - OWEN SOUND  It was a very wet/rainy night, but it was PERFECT! Ben and I had so much fun walking around Owen Sound talking, laughing, and experiencing the beginning of many new Christmas things together! The firework display was incredible, just in case anyone is thinking of checking it out next year - GO!!! They also did a great job at displaying many different set ups of Christmas lights!  Oh, and what better ...

(Parts of) Family Day

Family Day was different this year then others - it had become an annual tradition to go hiking, however due to some conflicting plans it didn't work out this year! Some went here, others there, yet we were all together for dinner!  I took Faith and the two youngest boys swimming - there was hardly anyone there, the boys so enjoyed it!  Game time  Music Time  Grandma wanted help cutting out her runner...  At 10pm I got inspired to do a cake - I had a gracious helper:) My Dad's project for the day! It's so nice - getting all these projects done around here!

Sunday Afternoon

 One Sunday afternoon I brought these adorables back to the farm for some fishing! It's all I could do to get them to stop!                                     Hudson wanted to keep catching them, didn't think that it mattered if we couldn't eat them all!
