Mexico - Canada

The return of Alexandra and Jose-Manuel! They finally received their visa's after the Canadian Embassy went on strike in Mexico and were on the plane to Canada. They are only able to stay for a month this time, but it's good to have them around! Trusting this time is fruitful and beneficial in many ways!
The one super hot day I was doing some baking for a girls night (invitation stuffing night) and Manny wanted to help me so he made the individual trifles
Ally made the pudding
And... everyone worked together on the watermelon bowl. I so appreciate Manny's willing attitude to pitch in and help wherever needed - such a blessing to have!

Christmas Preparations & Finishing up Second Semester

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm! This year Ben helped James and I - a great night filled with music, laughter, and cookies (thanks Jo-Jo)  "Festival of Lights" - OWEN SOUND  It was a very wet/rainy night, but it was PERFECT! Ben and I had so much fun walking around Owen Sound talking, laughing, and experiencing the beginning of many new Christmas things together! The firework display was incredible, just in case anyone is thinking of checking it out next year - GO!!! They also did a great job at displaying many different set ups of Christmas lights!  Oh, and what better ...

(Parts of) Family Day

Family Day was different this year then others - it had become an annual tradition to go hiking, however due to some conflicting plans it didn't work out this year! Some went here, others there, yet we were all together for dinner!  I took Faith and the two youngest boys swimming - there was hardly anyone there, the boys so enjoyed it!  Game time  Music Time  Grandma wanted help cutting out her runner...  At 10pm I got inspired to do a cake - I had a gracious helper:) My Dad's project for the day! It's so nice - getting all these projects done around here!

Sunday Afternoon

 One Sunday afternoon I brought these adorables back to the farm for some fishing! It's all I could do to get them to stop!                                     Hudson wanted to keep catching them, didn't think that it mattered if we couldn't eat them all!
