Annual Grand River TIP - 2013

I was so determined to take pictures of this event - however went to get my phone out of my car and realized it was dead - so once again had to rely on others.
Waiting to get into the water - took a little longer than normal this year
Finally:)
The journey has begun - starting with lots of tipping
My favorite canoeist - special memories on the river

Looks like trouble - I`m sure at least one of those boats ended up upside down - if not all three!
Loading up after - was the perfect day for canoeing - river was high - sun was shining and the temperature was pretty warm - got chilly at the end, but we turned the heat on in the truck and it was all good:)
A neat couple I got to know a little bit! They have a really neat story - love meeting new people!
BBQ and fellowship time afterwards
Campfire started

Mark took mostly everyone on a wagon ride - felt so much like autumn, was nice.
Then everyone went to the soccer field for an intense game of soccer - was fun to watch (disappointed I couldn`t play) - also got to catch up with Heather a bit which is always a blessing!
Was a fantastic day and William, Sarah, and Nelly did a wonderful job at organizing it all and putting everything together! Thanks guys for making it possible!

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to ...

New Postings Coming

Dear Followers, I apologize for not writing on the happenings in the last few months! Many new opportunities, many ups and downs, but through it all - there is so much to learn, and hopefully in the process He's making us into stronger people, becoming more and more like Him! December was filled with lots of different Christmas happenings, get together's, music opportunities, visitations, baking, eating of yummy food, and spending time with family!  I maybe took 3 or 4 pictures - not much to show, but will be bringing more pictures of the upcoming months!  New Years - I was sick again, so I was home alone, while everyone went else where to ring in the New Year! A good time to reflect on the happenings, excitement, disappointments, blessings, and most of all His faithfulness! A lot to remember, be thankful for, but 2013 is past, and although it brought much joy and some of the happiest most fulfilled moments, times - this is 2014 and I'm excited to see what He w...

New York City

This past April Wilma was doing a Prospective Student Day in Philadelphia, so we took our time getting there and did some really neat walks!   Glen Watkins - St. Park They were grooming the trails at this state park so we weren't able to walk around here, but went a bit East to another state park where we walked for 14km and saw a ton of falls and enjoyed the beautiful spring air! One of my favorite falls - reminded me of a cupcake!  To get a great picture we had to cross this chilly creek  View from the top  We spent the night in the suburbs of Philadelphia in gorgeous German Town where we enjoyed a very unique hotel and a walk down the cobblestone roads! I wish we could have spent more time there!  This is us the next morning before class started  Wilma was checking this school out prospectively for her Masters in Counselling - was a beautiful facilities and all the staff was very accommodating! ...
