Guelph Bible Camp

Tom and Beth were missing some counselors, Hiccup and I got recruited. Our first time counseling - but we had a ton of fun planning the devotions, decorating the room, and well everything!
Our camp names! So thankful this beautiful gal was my co-counselor! She was such a blessing
Our lovely girls - we were so blessed - seriously had the best cabin!
 Our Cabin Decor
On the outside wall - all our names
More cabin decor
The one night our whole cabin went to dinner "dressed up" with some things I had brought from home!

Shane was the "speaker"! Great analogies, captured all the kids attention, and made a heart application!
So appreciated all the messages
Each chapel time there was a quiz on the previous message - great way for the kids to interact - they all loved it
Time set aside for Bible memorizing
Was able to spend some time with Shantel - appreciate this gal
A "slip-and-slide" - was great
The last night we had a banquet - everyone dressed up - was so much fun!
One my campers that gave her heart to Christ this week
Terribly cute kids that hung around all week! So sweet
Another sweetie that ate dinner with us almost every meal
Another camper that gave her heart to the Lord
 A selfie
A funky picture of us all:)
So thankful for the opportunity to spend the week there! Was just what I needed at that time...so thankful too that I was able to get off work! I have a great, flexible boss!
It was spiritually refreshing and full of stretching times! Thankful for all the grace and strength God gave!
Will I do it again, yes - of course!

I Am Your Shield

This is a song that has been a great encouragement to me and so I wanted to share it with all of you, hoping that it will minister to you and encourage you on... even during the dark times! May He give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of those secret places!  I Am Your Shield Rachel Wissman My child are you discouraged  By the sorrows of the day Does it seem like life is crumbing The skies have turned to grey Don’t forget I gave you promises to guide you every hour In the moment of your heartbreak Let me show you my great power   And I will be your shield When the battle rages on And I will be your light when the way ahead is dark I will be your strong tower And guide you every hour Just place your life completely in my hand I know it won’t be easy I never said it would But my grace will always be there My plans for you are good Remember that your weaknesses are perfect in my sight Only when you yield them to ...

New Postings Coming

Dear Followers, I apologize for not writing on the happenings in the last few months! Many new opportunities, many ups and downs, but through it all - there is so much to learn, and hopefully in the process He's making us into stronger people, becoming more and more like Him! December was filled with lots of different Christmas happenings, get together's, music opportunities, visitations, baking, eating of yummy food, and spending time with family!  I maybe took 3 or 4 pictures - not much to show, but will be bringing more pictures of the upcoming months!  New Years - I was sick again, so I was home alone, while everyone went else where to ring in the New Year! A good time to reflect on the happenings, excitement, disappointments, blessings, and most of all His faithfulness! A lot to remember, be thankful for, but 2013 is past, and although it brought much joy and some of the happiest most fulfilled moments, times - this is 2014 and I'm excited to see what He w...

New York City

This past April Wilma was doing a Prospective Student Day in Philadelphia, so we took our time getting there and did some really neat walks!   Glen Watkins - St. Park They were grooming the trails at this state park so we weren't able to walk around here, but went a bit East to another state park where we walked for 14km and saw a ton of falls and enjoyed the beautiful spring air! One of my favorite falls - reminded me of a cupcake!  To get a great picture we had to cross this chilly creek  View from the top  We spent the night in the suburbs of Philadelphia in gorgeous German Town where we enjoyed a very unique hotel and a walk down the cobblestone roads! I wish we could have spent more time there!  This is us the next morning before class started  Wilma was checking this school out prospectively for her Masters in Counselling - was a beautiful facilities and all the staff was very accommodating! ...
