Happy Birthday Mom

I just want to take a minute or two and just say how incredibly thankful I am for the mother the Lord has allowed me to have! I have been so blessed to be raised in the family the Lord has so graciously given to me.  Mom you have been an amazing inspiration to me! All those times I felt like giving up and that there was no strength to go on, you always encouraged me to look to the Lord for strength for just one more day, strength for just one more step. You've always encouraged me to never give up and to hold on to that which the Lord has promised - for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. You have an amazing listening ear and are always ready to drop whatever you're doing just to listen and hear "what's going on". I'm so thankful for you and the path you have chosen to walk. You are a women of prayer! Your submission and love for your husband is so real and true! Thanks for being an amazing inspiration! Praying that "when I grow up..." I'm just like you!

Christmas Preparations & Finishing up Second Semester

2017 seemed to be a year full of new adventures and "firsts"! I hadn't been home for all the hustle and bustle of Christmas for 5 years and boy did I ever miss it! Starbucks and studying for finals filled my December Experiencing and practicing out skills out in the "field" - preparing us for our final practical Something I've really missed doing - hanging the Christmas lights out at the farm! This year Ben helped James and I - a great night filled with music, laughter, and cookies (thanks Jo-Jo)  "Festival of Lights" - OWEN SOUND  It was a very wet/rainy night, but it was PERFECT! Ben and I had so much fun walking around Owen Sound talking, laughing, and experiencing the beginning of many new Christmas things together! The firework display was incredible, just in case anyone is thinking of checking it out next year - GO!!! They also did a great job at displaying many different set ups of Christmas lights!  Oh, and what better ...

(Parts of) Family Day

Family Day was different this year then others - it had become an annual tradition to go hiking, however due to some conflicting plans it didn't work out this year! Some went here, others there, yet we were all together for dinner!  I took Faith and the two youngest boys swimming - there was hardly anyone there, the boys so enjoyed it!  Game time  Music Time  Grandma wanted help cutting out her runner...  At 10pm I got inspired to do a cake - I had a gracious helper:) My Dad's project for the day! It's so nice - getting all these projects done around here!

Sunday Afternoon

 One Sunday afternoon I brought these adorables back to the farm for some fishing! It's all I could do to get them to stop!                                     Hudson wanted to keep catching them, didn't think that it mattered if we couldn't eat them all!
